Hilltop Elopement // Todd + Taylor
Todd and Taylor decided to have a small ceremony on the hilltop overlooking his grandmother’s house. Taylor wore her grandmother’s wedding dress from the 1920’s and the entire day was all about family. Everyone was so emotional all day and when Taylor read vows to Todd’s daughter, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Make your day your own and do what makes you happy.
Todd, What do you love most about Taylor?
“I love the way that you inspire me to be the best version of myself that I can be.”
Taylor, What do you love most about Todd?
“What a hard question! There is a lot to love in someone like Todd. He is kind hearted and I’ve never met a man so willing to put others needs before himself. He is truly selfless and that is a beautiful quality! From day one, that was the biggest stand-out characteristic.”
What memory stands out most to you from your wedding day?
The venue stands out the most to both of us!! What an incredible view of Arkansas. Not only was it a special location for my husband, but also my husband’s daughter and that was important to me.
Advice for future couples?
Do what you want how you want. Have the wedding that you and your spouse want to have, not what will please everyone else. If you are concerned with budget, be frugal. There is no handbook of life that says you have to cater to your guests needs. Talk about A LOT OF PRESSURE. It’s about you and your spouse and maybe that means getting married on top of a hill with no WiFi, limited friends, immediate family, and maybe you are only eating cake! Who cares? Do you!
How was your experience with April?
Our experience with April was great! April was attentive and creative. She was very professional and we had zero worries about trusting her to capture one of the most special days of our lives.
