The Reserve at Osage Wedding // TJ + Zoe

What memory stands out most to you from your wedding day? Our wedding day was such pure FUN!  We wanted to make every single aspect of the day so unique and fun that everything at the wedding would be unlike anything our guests had ever seen.  One of the most special moments of the day was having our dear friend officiate. The details he included in his speech, and the non-traditional ceremony we were able to execute thanks to him meant so much to us.  We also had a piercer at our wedding piercing our guests, which we are going to be talking about for the rest of our lives. The piercing team at Element (located in Fayetteville) pierced nearly 100 people during the night and was SUCH a highlight.  Our guests surprised us, with some very unexpected friends and family members getting over five piercings during the night! Nostrils, septums, and ears were pierced. Hands were held. Gasps were heard. People left more metal than they came, and that's SO cool.

Advice for future couples with wedding planning and the wedding day?  Remind yourselves that a wedding is a celebration for you and your partner.  We were very fortunate to have zero pressure from our families to do (or not do) anything specific on our big day. Recognizing that there are couples who don't have this luxury, make a list of what is most important to you and your partner. What are your top five things that you want to budget the most for and have exactly as you dream, and what are some of the things you are willing to compromise on?  For us, we wanted to budget the most for our photographer and our "looks" for the day of, since the pictures are what we would have forever!  We cut corners to save money in other areas (like getting married on a Thursday for a SUPER discounted rate) and we were able to include so many extra details because of this. So make your list, figure out your priorities, and make them happen. Day of the wedding, just enjoy the ride. It does go by so quickly, so just enjoy every minute and all the hard work you put into planning a great party and day.

How was your experience with me? Ummmmm . . . the literal best? You made sure we looked GOOD, moving stray pieces of hair out of the way, positioning us perfectly for pictures, picking grass out of my dress. . .You are a photographer and wedding day BFF! I knew from the moment I saw one single engagement photo that we had made the best decision hiring you.  I also so appreciate all the time you spent with us during engagements before the wedding. It made my partner feel SO much more comfortable being photographed on the wedding day which was so valuable.
