Big Cedar Lodge Wedding // Turner + Natalie
What stands out most in my memory, other than getting married to Turner, is probably the weather! The whole day was such a whirlwind, details do not stand out, but I do remember at the reception everyone immediately being outside on the patio enjoying one of the first warm days of the summer.
Turner's memory: we got stuck in some traffic on our way back to the condo after the wedding because it was Memorial Day weekend. I just kept looking over and could not believe I got to marry this woman. She is so beautiful.
Advice to future couples: to keep the main thing the main thing. The purpose of the day is to get married to your significant other. everything else is secondary. It is so easy to get overwhelmed and drown in the details with worry about having the "perfect" day. But the day is not perfect because of the flowers, the cake, or napkins. it is perfect because you are marrying the love of your life surrounded by family and friends.
Our experience with April: Because I didn't have a bridal party, she filled that role in some ways by guiding us and making us laugh, and some ways it felt like Turner and I were alone and she was just capturing us interacting. I appreciated her vision and ability to think on her feet! Although she had never been to Big Cedar and we were constricted on time, she saw beauty in property wherever we were and able to capture our day perfectly.
Fort Collins Intimate Wedding // Simon + Courtney
Simon and Courtney wanted an intimate wedding day where they could focus on THEIR PEOLPE. Simon works at a Brewery in downtown Fort Collins, Colorado and they decided this was the perfect location for their casual wedding that was so uniquely them. It was a perfect sunny September day and really made me fall in love with this town.
The day after the wedding, we decided to take an adventure to Rocky Mountain National Park. I saw more Elk up close than I can count and couldn’t get over the beauty of the mountains. We explored off the beaten path and found some amazing spots. I told Courtney “If your dress didn’t get a little dirty, you didn’t have any fun”
