The most important part of my vendor selection for my big day!! When booking a photographer I did not realize I would be picking a stylist, second wedding coordinator, shoulder to lean on, and so so much more than just someone capturing our special day. I truly cannot image our big day without April! She were helpful, made us feel comfortable, and helped me bring my vision to light. I truly could not have asked for anything more. She is truly a special person that I am so thankful to know.
April is the best photographer I have worked with. She did my engagement pictures, boudoirs, bridals, and wedding! Her editing skills allowed our pictures to be enhanced but still authentic. I loved that all my photos had a consistent vibe to them. She is responsive, friendly, at helped put us at ease for all of our photos. She even helped with special photo edit requests months after the wedding. I can't imagine these memories being captured by anyone else.
We are beyond pleased with how our wedding and engagement pictures turned out! April makes sure to capture the most important moments, and out favorite part about her photography is that she captures the raw, organic moments between people. Her photography and editing is perfect. When we look back at our wedding photos, we remember all the feelings we felt that day and April captured every bit. April is also wonderful to work with, making the process seamless from beginning to end, answering any questions and bringing everything together on the wedding day. Photography was the most important decision when it came to our wedding since we will hold onto the pictures forever, and we have no regrets in choosing April to photograph our wedding!
April is not just an extremely talented photographer, she is a wonderful human being who played a huge part in making my wedding one of my most treasured experiences. From the moment I first reached out to her I knew she was exactly who I wanted to photograph my wedding. She was personable, open, and truly felt like a close friend. Her talent behind the lens is unparalleled and she is by far one of the most wonderful people I have ever worked with. I had high expectations for how our photos would turn out and she absolutely blew them out of the water!! I will treasure these memories for a lifetime and thanks to April I have the most beautiful photos to accompany those memories.
I hired Freckled Fox for my wedding and she did not disappoint! We had to have a small covid wedding in our backyard. She was available for contact and a meeting (masked up of course - thank you!) in the months leading up to our big day which was wonderful. Every couple of weeks she would check in just to see if we needed anything: recommendations, scheduling, etc. She's a well of wedding knowledge. She ultimately helped us with the layout of the wedding, scheduled the day and even helped with the decor. April knows what will ultimately make a shot more special & beautiful. She made sure to ask about what shots would be important to us as well as made helpful suggestions. On the big day she was timely and very professional - she ended up serving as a bit of a wedding planner for us too as we didn't have one! She did a wonderful job of scouting out locations beforehand for first looks and sunset photos after the ceremony. Super sweet & understanding if we didn't have many ideas (because of the shift to a smaller wedding). We also realized we went to high school together which made the evening that much more special! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend April and would use her again for any future photoshoot! 10/10/10 across the board!
I can't say enough good things about April and her work! She is so professional, responsive, and sweet. Most of all, talented! I also wanted to share my story for anyone thinking of booking - DO IT. A little backstory... My fiancé and I booked her back in February 2020 to photograph our wedding which was planned for June 2020. I spent a lot of time researching photographers in Arkansas and once I found Freckled Fox, I knew that she was the one! Her portfolio clearly speaks for itself and it's obvious that she has an extraordinary gift for taking photos with a natural, organic feel. But when the pandemic hit in March and we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding indefinitely, April was completely understanding and supportive. She would check in with me periodically to see how our plans were coming and even sent us little notes and things to cheer us up. It really helped us stay positive and focus on what mattered most. In the end, we knew that even if none of our loved ones could be there, we still wanted to get married and we still wanted April to capture the images from our big day. I'm so grateful for her patience as we worked to find a new date that worked for her and us and make entirely new plans, especially during an already stressful time.
The day of, she wore a mask the entire time and followed all safety precautions, making us feel comfortable. We ended up scrapping the idea for the large 100+ person wedding we had originally planned for and had an intimate courthouse wedding in October 2020 (just us, April, and the officiant) and a family-only, socially distanced reception at our home, and were so glad we did. The photos from that day turned out so beautiful and I've received many comments from those who weren't able to be there that they could see my husband and I's love for each other through the pictures, which makes them especially meaningful. We will cherish our wedding photos forever and can't wait to work with April again for future photography sessions.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Freckled Fox Photography. Not only were the moments April and her team captured for us beautiful, but they mean so much more to me now than when we first took them.
I often find myself going through our gorgeous tabletop book reminiscing every detail of the day. I can hear the cello playing, smell the fall breeze, feel the fog as it rolled through the greenway, and taste the tears of joy I had as I cried and hugged my best friend. All of those tiny moments, all of those tiny details Freckled Fox captured.
Most of all however, I can see my grandfather’s face and hear his voice as he officiated our ceremony. The memories flood over me knowing it was only a short time after that we lost him. Those moments, you don’t want in the wrong hands. You want them with someone who treats you like a sister, a best friend, the one that will hug you, hold your hand when you need them too and let you know how wonderful the day is going to be. April with Freckled Fox was the sister no one told me I would have and get to keep.
Since our first meeting we connected on a level much deeper than wedding coordination. I am thrilled that in the upcoming years I will continue to have April by our side to capture our family as it grows. After all, she was there from day one when we became a family.
I don’t just recommend her for the amazing artistry of her work, but I recommend you book her and find out you’ve hired much more than a photographer.
April is easily the best choice I made as far as wedding planning details! She treats me like a friend and has a warm and calming nature to her, making me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. April has the ability to capture special candid moments I will never forget. I got married a year and a half ago and STILL get compliments on the photos April captured. Each time I go through my photos it brings me back to all of the emotions I experienced on my wedding day. We will definitely use her in the future! I couldn’t love or recommend her more!
April, the mastermind and beautiful soul behind Freckled Fox Photography, is really more than a photographer. From the beginning to the end, she offered endless support, advice, and guidance. We trusted her with our engagements, and we trusted her again with our wedding weekend. And she never once disappointed. I was absolutely floored by her photography every time she delivered a set of sneak peeks and photos. April is incredibly talented and she provided a bit of everything–some breathtaking photos, some fun and interesting photos, and some raw, real emotional photos. On the day itself, we felt in safe hands and were able to relax and enjoy this incredible day in our lives. There are so many great things to say about April but in the end, it comes down to this–best decision we ever made. Don't just think about booking her. Book her!
April is the best EVER. I would absolutely recommend her 100%. As a somewhat particular client, April was patient, great at communicating, and helped us narrow down exactly what we were looking for - we felt like she becane a good friend. My fiance and I don't feel super comfortable being in front of a camera. HOWEVER, April is so fun to be around that my fiance and I were able to relax and just enjoy our engagement photos. And the photos turned out amazing!! We are just in awe and we are getting comments from all of our family and friends everyday about how much everyone loves them too. They far exceeded our hopes for our photos and I'll be forever thankful to April for sharing her A++ skills with us. 10/10 would recommend.
April is amazing!!! She photographed my 5 year anniversary photos and they were beautiful!! We are very picky and it can sometimes be hard for us to find a picture that we like. But April made it a relaxed, fun, and natural experience!!! Her reviews do not lie!! She is wonderful at what she does!!!
I wish I could give April 10 stars. She captured every moment we wanted during our wedding planning process. Our engagement photos were out of this world creative and everything we could have dreamed of. We are obsessed with our wedding photos and will cherish them forever. April did an incredible job at listening to what I wanted while still encouraging me to step out of the box. She's not only an amazing photographer but is now a friend. As a former bride I want to tell you that photography is an investment and worth every single penny. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and if you want incredible photos that will last a lifetime you should choose April. Brides, don't miss out!

April thought of everything and added nice/ thoughtful touches to our wedding day. She is detailed in her work and captured all the special moments of our day beautifully. For us, April didn’t just shoot our wedding, but became apart of our day. She is very peaceful and did not add any extra stress to our day. April also made great suggestions (since she’s been to a few weddings😉), but she isn’t pushy. We couldn’t have picked a better photographer! A lot of our friends and family are in the photography world as well, but we wanted them to be fully present and not behind the camera. Best decision.
April is truly the best hands down! She was our photographer for our wedding and we have received so many compliments on the beautiful photos she took. The photos were also featured on Junebug Wedding blog(which was a big deal and was very exciting). The photos we will truly be able to treasure for the rest of our lives. We also recently had a fun mini session with April for our two year wedding anniversary. She is a fun, creative, kind soul to work with and we will continue to call her our photographer for every life milestone we would like photos of in the future! We highly recommend.
