Hey, I’m April
and I live in Arkansas smack dab in the middle of the Ozarks. I’m married to a brilliantly kind man and we have a wonderful son together and a new daughter. I love to travel, host parties and make new friends everywhere I go. Photographing LOVE is what drives me.
I shoot weddings big and small. I’m a photographer based on relationships and connection. I want to take photos of you that feel and breathe and move. Stuff with guts. I want to work together to create the sickest, most beautiful images of you at this moment in your life.
I want you to feel that warm tingling feeling inside when you look at my work. I want you to feel that connection. If photography is just another box you’re checking off the wedding checklist, we may not be the best fit. And that’s a-okay. I’m for the lovers and the dreamers. The artists. The romantics.
I don’t just pose you to make you look cute and in love. I take the time getting to know you so I can give direction and get you interacting in a way that your own unique love for each other shines through. I believe my job as your photographer is to lead you to experience real emotions in the moment, and to walk away feeling connected to one another.
Social justice is so important to me in both my professional and personal lives, and I do my best to verify that this is true for all vendors I recommend as well. I am a true believer in body positivity, that love is love, Black lives matter, and no human being is illegal. Every single story deserves to be told, and I would be honored to be the one to help you tell it.
