We had a pretty unconventional beginning because we actually had to do IVF to have Miles. I feel like since getting pregnant with him was so hard, that the universe repaid me by a fairly easy pregnancy. In all honesty, I’ve never loved anything more than being pregnant. I loved watching my body change and grow because it meant he was growing and healthy. Having pictures that captured that moment in my life brings me to tears…it was such a hard journey to get to that point, and now look! April made me feel confident and beautiful, and I still find myself looking through all the photos from our shoot when this tiny human was growing inside me. It made me feel magical.

I think my advice to other mamas-to-be would be to just embrace the changes. No, your feet swelling to where you can only wear three pairs of shoes is not fun, but the end result is so worth it. Drink allll the water, and take as many naps as humanly possible while you can.

Our pictures with April were AMAZING, honestly better than I could have asked for. She posed us perfectly, helped with little tweaks like tilting faces and where to put our hands, but also made them so fun. My husband even got in the car after and raved about how easy/fun you made the whole experience. She made me feel confident and beautiful, even while swatting away bugs, naked in a field lol.
